A "Michigan Vacation"

The boys are at my mom and dad's house this weekend. They refer to the trip as a "Michigan vacation". I guess kids need a vacation away from their parents, too!

It is so wonderful that my parents are able to watch the boys. They absolutely love going over there and I swear they come back in inch taller from all the food they eat!! Yesterday they were waiting on the porch with their bags packed!!!

My mom said Joseph told my dad, "Grandpa, I really miss you when I don't come over". So sweet.

Bed Rest

I decided to start blogging again since I have all the time in the world now that I am on bed rest!

I have officially been on bed rest for 2 weeks. Everyone asks me if time is passing slow, but it really is not! I cannot believe I even typed 2 weeks! I told Matt "bring on the time"! The more time I am resting the more time Baby D has to grow.

I was just released from the hospital for a little scare. The boys absolutely loved coming to visit me. They had their own routine. They would stop at Starbuck for a cookie and of course...a venti, decaf, 3 pump, no foam latte for me! Then I would turn on a cartoon for them and they would sit like old men and eat their afternoon snack.

They also loved trying out all of the medical equipment in the room!

I am so thankful for all my family and friends who have been so supportive. I do not know what I would do without you all! I am especially thankful for Matt and how much he loves and supports me. He is my rock and absolute best friend.

Here is a picture of Baby D. The doctor said my non-stress test results are that of a 32 week baby and not 24 weeks! He is so happy he is moving around so much. At 23 weeks the baby weighed 1 lb 12 oz and was measuring a little over a week ahead. Grow...baby...grow!!!!!

New Addition to Our Family

We have a new addition to our family! A furry little friend named Ozzy. Or as the boys say a "little dog brother". Ozzy is so sweet and fits right into our family. The boys absolutely adore him and happily take part in his care.

Ozzy had a little health scare when we were on vacation. I thought we were going to lose him, but thankfully he has turned the corner.

Welcome to our family Ozzy!

Winter in June

Since the boys were babies, I have always gone in their room around 11:00 PM to re-cover them and make sure they are okay for the night.

Last night I looked at Joseph and could not quite make out what the heck he had on his head. I turned on the hall light and I realized he had his winter hat on!!

Joseph is a funny kid, he is always up to something. He must have gone downstairs, got his hat out of the coat closet and put it on! It was only 70 degrees out last night, perfect hat weathter! What a character.

Joseph is also very complementary. I wake-up and he tells me my hair looks pretty (which I know is not true). Anytime I wear new jewelry he notices immediately and tells me how pretty they look. He always notices fine details.

The other night I gave him a hug goodnight and he whispered in my ear "I am so proud of you, mom". I had to hold back my giggle and ask him why he was proud of me. He said, "I don't know...I just am because you are my mom". So sweet.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful man. Our boys are truly blessed to have such a wonderful Dad.

Matt is so kind and patient with the boys. He always gives the boys his undivided attention. Most likely if you were to come for a visit you would find Matt on the floor intensely playing with the boys. On the days I work, I get home and all three are wiped out from all of the activities- downstairs, toy room, upstairs, outside, baseball, basketball, bike ride and the list goes on.

Thank you, Matt for being "you" and loving our boys with all your heart.

Also, thank you to my Dad for being such a wonderful father to me. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. Bike rides, picnics, roller skating, camp outs- just to name a few. Even though you worked many long hours you always made time for our family. Thanks, Dad for all you have given me.

Love to all.

Summer Fun

I cannot believe it is already the end of June!!! Where has the time gone???? We are having a great summer with the boys as they are at such a great age! I wish I could freeze this age forever. They are so interactive and pretty much love to do anything. Both boys are really into their water table, swing set and sandbox. They especially love to help Matt wash the cars and then get sprayed off with the hose.

As you can see from the video, they definitely love the water!

I start my new job on Monday and am looking forward to a lighter schedule! I am really hoping to get back to blogging and documenting the boys life. I feel extremely guilty for the time lapse between posts. I am SO looking forward to getting back to more family time and blogging.

Love to all!
