No More Highchairs

Last week, when Matt was out of town, I decided to take the boys to Red Robin. I decided to try something new...no highchairs! The boys did great. I thought for sure they would be running around, but sure enough they just sat across from me without any problems.

Having twins is such a conversation starter. Everyone asks if they are twins and if they are identical. We always meet new people everywhere we go! We met 3 families just sitting in the booth!

During dinner, the staff would periodically sing Happy Birthday to children celebrating their birthday. The boys really got into clapping their hands and singing Happy Birthday to the kids. After they were done with dinner, I surprised them and had the staff sing Happy Birthday to them. They barely set Joseph's ice cream sundae down before he devoured it!

We had a great night. I cannot believe they are big boys sitting in a booth now. It just feels like yesterday when they were in their infant carriers resting in the booth. How time flies!

Our New "Hang Out"

We found this awesome new playground by our house. It is really great because it has a concession stand that is operated by Coney Grill, the boys favorite restaurant.

Tonight we took the boys to the park and packed a picnic. It was a blast. And of course, we had to have "ICE" (AKA- ice cream). This playground is great for the boys physical therapy needs (plus for their mom's snack needs!).





On a very funny note, Matt thought it would be funny to teach the boys to greet me when I come home from work by saying "Hey Babycakes"! So, at 7 am this morning I am awakened by Dominic's little voice over the intercom cheerfully yelling "Heya Babycakes"! I swear this was the first word out of his mouth this morning. Such a polite new phrase Matt has taught the boys. Although, you just can't help but laugh!

Big Truck Show

Today we took the boys to the Big Truck Show. It was held at a local high school parking lot. They had every type of truck you could imagine. The boys absolutely loved it! The only problem was the heat! It was really too warm for Dom and his casts. I had to stop at CVS and buy a handheld fan and air out his toes! What a scene that was!

On a personal note, I have found a new addiction. McDonald's now serves speciality coffees! I love the iced vanilla latte. Watch out Starbucks...McDonald's is movin' in! For the past 3 days I HAD to have an iced latte. Thank God, there is a McDonald's less than a mile away. The really sad thing about my coffee addiction is I swear the boys first combined words were "Mommy's coffee!" Something has to keep me up to speed with the boys!
